After the first load in the kiln fired successful, we started to paint and glaze projects today!
This past week was a bit of a stressful one for me. It is getting to THAT time of year when schedules are getting quite filled up, and us teachers can become overwhelmed. SO... I decided to do something that always helps me de-stress: PAINT.
I've been wanting to paint the cubby above my sink for quite a while, in addition to covering the old mural done at least 10 years ago that was a bit outdated in my room. I chose a bright BLUE (officially "Bay City Blue" according to the friendly man at Menard's who helped me out) and I am very happy with the results so far.
As I painted, I found myself in a very productive mode, and started the first layers on some cabinet doors as well. Take a peek :)
