The pictures above show projects that have started the drying process. Once slightly dry, students can start piercing them, and adding small details to make them more unique. After they are fully dry, I will fire them in the kiln. After being fired once , they will be ready to be glazed!
I cannot wait for results like this image (pictured left).
After a final glaze, and many days of work - Coil Pots are complete!
The coil pots in my first hour 3D Art class are coming along. This week, students covered them in a layer of under glaze prior to their initial firing(bisque). I then fired everything on Wednesday, and they are now ready for a final layer of clear glaze! After that... I am excited to display them!
