This week we were each assigned a letter to work on, we could do what ever we wanted with it, creativity was up to us. The letters will be on display at our sping art show so come out and see what it has to say.
This week on monday we finished up our Kieth Haring projects. We also received a handout in which we had to design cabinet doors for Ms. Westphals room, because her cabinet doors are boring. Today we got puzzle pieces and we had to work together as a class to put them together to make one big puzzle. After we finished with the puzzle we had to design our puzzle pieces. We have to have a qoute and use three medias. When we are fiished with our puzzle pieces we will put them back together for one big masterpiece.
Earlier this week we have worked on researching an artist for inspiration. We then created a piece of art work that resembled their work.
Then the end of the week we worked on Keith Haring's form of art work, with group members. We had two days to complete this project and they will be shown in the art show this May.
This week we worked on Art History an Independent Project. We picked a historic artist and re-created a piece of their art, or we could create our own work using their concept. We also worked on Keith Harling projects,
Ms. Westphal was inspired by a pinata she had made for a pep assembly and desided to challenge our artistic creativety. She had us make a food item out of paper mache that had to be atleast a foot in length. The students really used their skills to come up with some very creative projects. It was also valentines day on thursday, so some of the girls took time away from their projects and made lovely cards for their crushes. Some were really adorable! These projects are pictured bellow.
This week the first hour's class made Paper Mache' projects, with an option of a group up to three. We used newspaper and cardboard to design the object and paint to finish the outside. Our creation had to be any kind of food item.
This week in our amazing art class we worked on a Paper Mache' project. The wonderful students of 3rd hour had to make a 12 by 12 inch model of a food item. They used such things as cardboard, paper, and glue as materials to create these master peices.
This week we are making food projects from paper mache. The class is doing very well for the first time working with it. Some of the food items being made are fruits such as watermelon, pineapple, and pears. Also, a few students decided to take the pizza route. They seem to be enjoying this project as you can tell from the photos. In the week prior, we also made a self portraits. You had to incorporate lyrics or words into the back. Not everyone seemed to like to draw themselves, while others were really excited about the project.
