Today was my last day with the Young 4s class. I have enjoyed teaching them so much! I will definitely miss seeing them every Thursday, and cannot wait to have them again when they are older. For their last day of our mini-art centers they had the following 3 centers: Play-Doh, dry erase boards and experimenting with chalk pastels.
The 6th graders worked on a fun one-day lesson today! Check out the pictures below.
Kindergarten students finished up their Dinosaur drawings today! LOVE THEM!! Check out the pictures below :)
There are two great displays you should check out at the elementary school. The first is a collaborative tree project. The tree was painted by high school students, and the leaves illustrated by elementary students.
The second collaborative piece features work from the young 4's class all the way through high school seniors. Viewing the skill progression is a sight to see!
A lot of 6th graders were absent today for their track meet... so the students that were here added on to the mini Post-It Mural I have started :)
The younger students at the elementary are having some fun drawing dinosaurs! These pictures are taken from the Kindergarten class, but others are working on this as well.
I started by drawing the dinos with them in a way that I call "Draw with Me" which basically means step-by-step instruction on the board. After that, the colors are up to them. Look for 4 different dinosaurs in their images: Stegosaurus, Pterodactyl, Triceratops, and a Raptor! We also learned how to draw a volcano! :)
