The following projects are completed by the lovely Art 8 class. Two concepts used here were review - Perspective and Zentange Design. Perspective was used to creative the checkerboard effect and Zentangle for the sharpie background. Shading the 3D forms (cylinder, cone, sphere and cube) was a new process for the class. The idea of a Mixed Media artwork is one using multiple mediums (oil pastel, sharpie, watercolor, etc.) in one project. I love the results!
This week in Art class, we took a test on the color wheel. We also started our color wheel collages. We took anything that we could possibly find in magazines, wrappers, pictures, etc. and put them to work. We used our color wheel knowledge to create our very own shoe design. The shoe designs brought out a lot of creativity in each and every one of us. We are looking forward to having more challenges throughout our time in this class!
Before winter break we made perspective drawings of rooms, learned about the color wheel, and designed shoes based on the color wheel. We learned about primary and secondary colors. We also took a quiz on the color wheel. The perspective drawings are suppose to be 3-D.
This week in 8th grade we made a color wheel, and learned about the color schemes. We designed shoes using what we learned on the color wheel. We have a test tomorrow on this (if we have school. )
We also learned how to do perspective, and we drew rooms using that. What was required for that was to have a window and a door, a detailed floor, 2 furniture pieces, 2 wall items, and you can only have one white wall.
And, also like every week, we were supposed to do our sketchbooks, and put 30 minutes in it.
