Students in Art 8 recently completed a TREE OF LIFE project to learn about the Principle of Art: UNITY AND VARIETY. Klimt's work is a great example of this principle, and each student created their own interpretation of the piece using sharpie, oil pastel or crayon and watercolor paint. I'm so excited to have Junior High students back! This trimester I have 27 Art 8 students during my 4th hour. Their first project was this mini Zentangle Name Design to get back into the swing of things. Zentangles are organized doodles, generally with Sharpie markers. They did a great job!
Up next, we reviewed the color wheel, and are now putting it to use creating a Warm/Cool Tree drawing.
Check back for more updates soon!
