This week we worked on our self-prortraits!! We had to draw our face in our sketch book then put it on a transparency ,then we had to make a background on a different piece of paper with oil pastels and put water color on it, we put lyrics on it then stapled it together! after that we started scratch art. That is where you color a simple design with crayons and paint over it with black paint then scratch a design. And that was our week!! :)
Students are working on scratch art projects. Students were supposed to color on a piece of paper, then paint over it and scratch designs in the paint. They are coming along very well!
This week in Art class, we took a test on the color wheel. We also started our color wheel collages. We took anything that we could possibly find in magazines, wrappers, pictures, etc. and put them to work. We used our color wheel knowledge to create our very own shoe design. The shoe designs brought out a lot of creativity in each and every one of us. We are looking forward to having more challenges throughout our time in this class!
Last week our 8th grade class worked on the color wheel. We needed to make collages out of stuff we cut out of magazines. We then made the color wheel which we took a test on last week. After we finished these, we started working on our scratch art projects which will be continued on into this week.
Before winter break we made perspective drawings of rooms, learned about the color wheel, and designed shoes based on the color wheel. We learned about primary and secondary colors. We also took a quiz on the color wheel. The perspective drawings are suppose to be 3-D.
