Students in Art 8 recently completed a TREE OF LIFE project to learn about the Principle of Art: UNITY AND VARIETY. Klimt's work is a great example of this principle, and each student created their own interpretation of the piece using sharpie, oil pastel or crayon and watercolor paint. Art 7 and Art 8 classes worked together to create a collaborative piece to fill the display case for the summer and into this fall. The 8th grade class used zentangle techniques to fill the letters, while 7th grade students filled the background with warm colored designs.
