North Central Area Schools held their annual National Honor Society Induction Banquet on Sunday, October 13th at St. John Neumann Parish Hall in Spalding. New inductees include seniors Brandon Grondine & Izaac Lauscher, juniors: Olivia Arnold, Cheyenne Borucki, Gracey Grondine & Wyatt Riley, and early admission sophomores: Bryson Mercier, Ariel Poupore, Dakota Schwark, Sarah Snyder and Katelyn Whitens. In order to be selected as a member of the North Central Chapter of NHS, students need to portray the four pillars of NHS: character, scholarship, leadership and service. Juniors and seniors need to maintain a 3.3 GPA, while early admission sophomores require a 3.5 GPA. All students who are eligible solely based on GPA are given an application letter. After applications are submitted, a faculty council of five teachers meets to vote on students for membership. Eleven students were inducted during this year’s ceremony.
