Our chapter has been busy in these winter months! Prior to the New Year, the last day before break was a busy one for NHS members. We organized and judged an Ugly Sweater Contest in the 6th-12th grade building for our annual "Super Happy Fun Day" and had great participation in all grades! The 6 winners in the junior/high school building can be seen below. Most Hideous - Lane G. Most Festive - Evan H. Most Beautifully Tacky - Breanna S. Most Likely Belonging to Your Grandma - Caylin J. Still Pretty Ugly - Samantha B. Best Ugliest Christmas Sweater - Dakota S. Instead of spending their afternoon enjoying activities with their peers at the high school, NHS members donated their time to visit the elementary instead. During the afternoon of the Friday prior to break, NHS hosted an Upper Elementary Movie Day for 3rd-5th graders. Students enjoyed fresh popcorn (thank you Sports Boosters for letting us use the concession area) while watching The Santa Clause. The Ugly Sweater contest was also offered to 3rd-5th grade students at the Elementary building in Hermansville. The winners can be seen below - Most Hideous - Drayden P. Most Festive - Griffin G. Most Beautifully Tacky - Lauren F. Most Likely Belonging to Your Grandma - McKenzie W. Stilly Pretty Ugly - Ella M. Most Ugliest Christmas Sweater - Andrew S. Now that 2019 has started our to-do list involves many items happening in the remainder of winter and this spring. Up next for our chapter is our final Whip-a-Wiffle raffle fundraiser at the boys basketball game on Friday, January 25th vs. Bark River-Harris. Coming soon is our annual Fat Tuesday Paczki Sale on Tuesday, March 5th 2019. The current task for NHS members is seeking sponsors for our annual Hermansville Hustle 5k in Memory of Sheila Sanville. More info on this event can be found HERE at our official race website. Our facebook event can be found HERE as well. If you or your business is interested in being a 2019 sponsor, check out this page or contact me at [email protected]. Our sponsorship form can be found at the end of this post.
