Our Chapter of the National Honor Society completed our last large event for the school year today with the annual Community Project Day! All students volunteered in and around the communities of Hermansville and Powers in the morning at over TWENTY different locations. After volunteering, everyone ate a delicious cook out lunch(Shout out to CHERIE!!), we took our school-wide photo, and finished the day with fun activities around the school. For the first time, the Sophomore class planned one hour of field games, which went great! After a short break students went to various classrooms/locations at school for movies, games, corn hole tournaments and a little basketball. This is also traditionally the last day of high school for our Seniors! We'll recognize their hard work next week at Senior Awards Night on Wednesday starting at 6pm. 2019 Volunteer Locations North Central Elementary Grace Lutheran Church High School Gym (Graduation Prep!) Thank you Seniors! Today was our last NHS meeting with our complete 2018-2019 Chapter! The Seniors are almost done with their academic careers, and today was one of their "lasts" of the year. I have to give a special shout out to my five officers who have done an AMAZING job in their individual roles. I appreciate their help through the year! It has become a tradition to take photos to remember the "passing of the torch" from current officers to their successors, as seen below. Our last photo as a Chapter with the 2019 graduates is shown below. :( I will really miss this group! With graduation comes change. The future of our Chapter can be seen in the photos below. Check out the same photo shoot from last year! And from the year before that... ... and even the year before THAT. All photos from this
