the PowderPuff Volleyball Tournament! 7th Grade won the JH Bracket (beating the 6th grade AND the 8th grade) while the JUNIORS won the overall championship, beating the STAFF in the final match 2-1. North Central Area Schools held their annual National Honor Society Induction Banquet on Sunday, October 13th at St. John Neumann Parish Hall in Spalding. New inductees include seniors Brandon Grondine & Izaac Lauscher, juniors: Olivia Arnold, Cheyenne Borucki, Gracey Grondine & Wyatt Riley, and early admission sophomores: Bryson Mercier, Ariel Poupore, Dakota Schwark, Sarah Snyder and Katelyn Whitens. In order to be selected as a member of the North Central Chapter of NHS, students need to portray the four pillars of NHS: character, scholarship, leadership and service. Juniors and seniors need to maintain a 3.3 GPA, while early admission sophomores require a 3.5 GPA. All students who are eligible solely based on GPA are given an application letter. After applications are submitted, a faculty council of five teachers meets to vote on students for membership. Eleven students were inducted during this year’s ceremony. The images below (click to enlarge) are a gallery of photos showcasing the new inductee with the current NHS member who introduced them.
