  • On November 11th, HYC students introduced a project to all classes that ends FRIDAY that coincides with World Kindness Day on November 13th! Virtual and Face-to-Face students will be able to participate. We're calling this the RAKS Project (Random Acts of Kindness).

  • Students were asked to perform a Random Act of Kindness before Friday and document it using the colored paper. Student's name goes in the JET area and a drawing/description of the act completed goes in the bubble! The more creative the better.

  • Random Acts can be anything from holding the door for someone, doing something for your family without being asked, sending a card, paying for someone's meal... there are ENDLESS options.

  • Students in school must turn in their completed paper by FRIDAY to Miss Westphal.
  • All of the submissions will be photographed and compiled into a video slideshow to hopefully inspire others to pass kindness along as well. This video will be posted online and shared with the JETS community.

Online students can create a digital submission.

Online students can also create their own submission and turn in via email.
  • Lastly, three winners will be chosen from all of the entries - one for the best act of kindness completed, one for the most artistic paper, and one completely at random.
  • There will be a prize for the winners, but we want to keep that a surprise as that should not be the main focus. The idea is to do something GOOD just to do it!
  • We can't wait to see what you can do!

The project was introduced by HYC members Katrina, Jaden, Sam, Luke and Katelyn.
